The location was prime for this project- my no. 1 task was to secure a suite with a luxe arabesque feel. It did start on a tough note as many premium hotels don’t want to disrupt operations or allow their interiors to be replaced with brands own. This is where harnessing relationships and building a network is super important, the marketing director put her trust based on my previous projects and ended up loving the end result. I was offered not one but two different hotel options at the prestigious Jumeirah Hotels and we maximised the oppertunity. Shooting content at two different venues was surely a production hurdle but I knew it will elevate the project to another level.

Both video and photo content were captured over several indoor and outdoor settings, following the journey of light from dawn to sunset. To get the mood of festive gathering's, models were portrayed around dressed tables featuring typical Ramadan snacks, oud burners, and board games. We got lucky to work with the talented Evgenia who transformed the hotel suites into lived in homely spaces (while still very much keeping the luxe look). Special shout to our beloved Vlad and Mathia who are masters in their craft and always work so well together. I have had the opportunity to work with them on our last spring summer campaign and it was a no brainer to have them for this project too. Teresa as always who comes up with the most creative moodboards and ideas, you always make me gasp in awe. And a final shout to Ignacio, head of production at MMG who filled in for me on day 2 as I had to fly out for my cousins wedding. The team truly embodied the Ramadan spirit.
