Shooting at an operating government office came with its challenges-staying out of the way was no small feat to make sure we didn't disrupt daily operations. Thankfully, I had a tried-and-true team: Vladimir Marti with his keen eye for editorial photography, Mattia Holm who never missed a beat with his sharp videography, Evgenia, who, despite being under the weather, worked her magic sourcing tech and vintage props and Teresa Karpinska, the creative lead of the project. It was such a pleasure to work with T; she was truly the heartbeat of this project. Of course, no shoot happens without its surprises. On day one, our stylist Jane fell sick, come the thrill of finding a replacement overnight. Shine stepped in and took it from there, curating sets with much elan that matched the futuristic glam vibe we wanted. Since the location was a fully operating office, we had to bring an RV as a green room. Parked outside the offices, the extra logistics kept everyone comfortable on set plus in the offices . Styling nailed the brief, bringing in looks that screamed "future," "glam," and "summer" all at once. And while I was managed most of the pre-production from Thailand while away from my sister’s bachelorette, the 4:30 a.m. emails, calls and teams from the back of a scooter, and coordination from hilltops for last-minute approval are indeed memories that made this one of my top three campaigns ever. This campaign is archived under my motto- keep trying and you’ll get an answer. Everything that was difficult, we made it happen on this one.
